This week, starting from Tuesday, our family went to Reno for our winter holidays vacation. While we were there, we also decided to go to Mount Rose, a ski resort. My brother and I had never been skiing or snowboarding before that week and had decided to take lessons. My little brother, Theodore, took lessons in skiing, but I decided to learn snowboarding because it looked more fun to me. It was great and exciting while sliding down the snowy slopes even though I fell down a lot before I could get balanced correctly. The hotel we stayed at was also pretty nice, too. It had an arcade, a laser tag room, and a great selection of food. Overall, I had a very good stay at the hotel and much fun at the ski resort. I really suggest this for people looking for something fun to do.

Today, November 27th, is the Massive Negative Tide day at Half Moon Bay. Our extended family come to watch the tides flush out, then walk the reef for a few hours. The weather is clear and warm; the kids have lots of fun, therefore.

On Thursday, our family enjoyed a fun Thanksgiving party. We thank my uncle and aunt for holding it at their house. It took long preparation to get this done. The adults had to bring in tables, chairs and food for everybody. The kids decided to host a talent show with everyone in it and a romantic (and comedic) skit about a prince, a princess, and a witch. They had started practicing 3 days prior to the event.
Once the party started, everybody was having a good time. There was no family table dinner, but we all ate well and enjoyed watching the talent show. There was dancing, singing and piano (piano being the event with most people participating). I was part of it, playing two songs I memorized.
The skit was also very good as well. Almost every single one of my cousins participated. The story went somewhat like this:
A queen is hosting a birthday party for her irresponsible son, hoping he will find a princess there. While out in the market streets, the prince finds a poor girl and falls in love with her. He invites her to his party. Later on, the girl meets a witch who convinces the girl into a deal. If the prince falls in love with the witch, then the girl will have to become the rain. At the party, the prince meets up with the witch, disguised as a pretty girl. She convinces the prince into drinking something that erases his memory. The prince then believes he is in love with the witch and not the girl he met earlier. Eventually, the prince realizes that his love had become the rain and mourns for her.
My cousins, Anthony and Michael, have to be specially mentioned because of their extremely funny acting skills. However, everyone did well in this play; as well I say kudos to the director of the play. The party ended with us all having pumpkin pie and cake.
In all, I thank my family members (EVERY single family member) for working so hard to get this all done. It was a great time being there, and I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving because I sure did.

Report from San Jose, California
Thanksgiving can be a scariest day if you know some facts. There are about 45 million turkeys killed to “grace” Thanksgiving tables each year.
Why do we have to eat these fascinating birds specifically on Thanksgiving? It is very surprise that there are several answers, but which one is a really right answer.
If you think you have answer, please contribute your comments.
Here are the couple of turkeys I “shot” when visiting Zion National Park last February:
Yesterday, on November 19, 2011, I turned 13 years old. I also held a party celebrating it on that same day. Several people appeared at that party, and I would like every single one of them for coming. They made me happy and brought many gifts with them. So, overall, thank you everybody.
First of all, I would like to thank my friend, Ethan McGriff. He was the person who sparked up the happy day. I thank him for giving me a small but fun Rubik’s Cube and an oversized, drawing-covered box. He told funny jokes, making everyone laugh along the way.
Next, I would like to thank my cousins, friends from judo, uncles, aunts, and other people. They were the majority of the party and made the atmosphere of the house warm and fun. My cousins, uncles, and aunts have always come to my birthdays and I’ve enjoyed every single time. Thank you for coming again.
My judo partner, Jonathan Phan, and his parents are a new additions to the history of my birthday parties. He bought me a nice new pair of clothes to wear. Other new additions would be Eric and Andrea Nguyen and their parents. Andrea entertained us with stories and Eric showed me some new gaming techniques. Their parents brought with them calamari which I was happy eating. YUMMY!
It was indeed a great time yesterday. I hope that you enjoyed the time, because I did. Overall, I say thank you to every single person.
