It was that certain time of year again, when people would go on mile-long trips just for a few days of skiing. Yes, it was ski week. It was a good week, too. The time and location were well balanced, I guess. Lots of friends and family were there, so we had plenty of fun. My brother and I had gotten better at skiing over those days due to hours of sliding down slopes. I could firmly say that we had fun during those days.

First order of business: the time of year and location. Unlike last time, it wasn’t freezing cold and dark. It was actually rather sunny and slightly breezy. In fact, I could have worn shorts in that temperature. There was more snow, but it wasn’t as packed up as last time. The snow was softer and didn’t hurt when you fell. It was easier to slide on because of its texture.

We also had lots of friends and family during those past few days. They had convinced us to go skiing on Mt. Rose a few months ago. Now, it’s one of my favorite activities! It’s probably because they helped me have fun so much. I used to think the mountains were boring before these past few months.

Another great thing I had experienced was getting better. I can finally balance myself on the board properly. I also did a few jumps on ramps, too. My brother had also gotten better. On our first ski trip, Theodore was a clumsy idiot on skis. Now he’s a fast, clumsy idiot on skis. However, in other people eyes, I can genuinely say, we still suck.

Besides my morality pushed down by ski pros, our trip was actually fun. The resort was less crowded and cold like last time. We also had our friends there. Finally, skiing down slopes really has an impact on your interests. I hope that you enjoyed reading about my pleasure, and you should go skiing on Mt. Rose, like I said before.

Click on the picture for the rest of photos from the trip.

This week, starting from Tuesday, our family went to Reno for our winter holidays vacation. While we were there, we also decided to go to Mount Rose, a ski resort. My brother and I had never been skiing or snowboarding before that week and had decided to take lessons. My little brother, Theodore, took lessons in skiing, but I decided to learn snowboarding because it looked more fun to me. It was great and exciting while sliding down the snowy slopes even though I fell down a lot before I could get balanced correctly. The hotel we stayed at was also pretty nice, too. It had an arcade, a laser tag room, and a great selection of food. Overall, I had a very good stay at the hotel and much fun at the ski resort. I really suggest this for people looking for something fun to do.
